I am creative to my core being a classically trained Chef, (knowing I wanted to be a Chef from the age of 8). I love creating new ways of using ingredients, to adapt a recipe and with this ability to create has enabled my art to florish. I am an introvert, so it is a joy to be expressive, to let my inner emotions flow and to let my art shout for me. Art is my voice to the world. Since 2009 I haven't stopped painting or creating, my mind continues to see colors and shapes and I develop these images into my own style of art.I love the surprise when a new abstract artwork takes shape in my mind. My favorite time of day is in my studio.
I simply love art.
I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, wood, metal, paper and driftwood. I love working with different mediums experimenting with the artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
My father in law Brian Richardson, an artist in England is my greatest influence. He first encouraged me to make my mark on a blank canvas. I can still recall that day, the first splatter of paint the shear enjoyment of creating art. My inspiration for art comes from the world around me, especially living in Montana, and ultimately within me. I love to create from the images my mind captures, visions of color and shapes. In my work I like to explore, to experiment, to take risks and to enjoy the "what happens if I do this"...sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, but when it does ...Wow!
